The Organisation In Relation To Its Purpose & Its Stakeholders
FLP was formed in January 2004 in order to manage a wide range of sport and leisure facilities on behalf of the Borough Council. Those facilities include: -
  * Golf Complex – an 18 hole Championship Golf Course together with Par 3 Pitch and Putt Course, Practice Putting Green and 3 Squash Courts. The operation at this location also includes full responsibility for all aspects of grounds maintenance.

  * Swim Centre – comprising 33m Main Pool, Diving Pool, Teaching Pool, Baby Pool, Health & Fitness Studio & spa.

  * Leisure Centre – a dual use facility with a 5 badminton court Main Sports Hall, Activity Hall, Dance Studio, 2 Squash Courts, Health & Fitness Studio & two All Weather Pitches.

  * Park and Water Sports Complex including sailing boats, canoeing, windsurfing, rowing boats, angling, nature reserve, walking trails and children’s play area.

  * Community Pavilion and Playing Fields providing a diverse range of active leisure pursuits including bowls, tennis, cricket, rugby, netball and basketball.

The primary purpose for everyone in the company is to
  * Meet financial targets for turnover and re-investment
  * Increase financial viability through product and brand development,
  * Development of programmes to reflect the needs of the community,
  * Work in partnership to deliver the aims and objectives of WHBC
  * Deliver exemplary standards of service and customer care
  * Attract and retain more customers and service them more effectively at a reduced relative cost.
