Task A.
  a) Explain the teaching/training role and responsibilities in education and training. (ref 1.1)
Your main role will be to deliver your chosen subject to the students in a way that fully engages and involves them in a motivational way during the lessons, ensuring that the information given is current and relevant to their learning needs, you will need to incorporate new technologies and techniques where appropriate and carry out regular assessments within a controlled environment to ensure learning is taking place. You will also be required to promote the students to be actively involved whilst establishing mutual respect and ensuring that the appropriate level of behaviour is upheld. You will need to familiarise yourself with the teaching, learner assessment cycle, a good example of this can be found in Gravells et al (2014) P26/27. You will need to identify your own, the companies and the student’s needs, finding out the reasons why the students are enrolled on the course and what their expectations and goals are. This can be achieved by utilising initial and diagnostic assessments, agreeing individual learning plans where appropriate and monitoring the students’ progress with regular reviews and assessments. You will be required to prepare schemes of work and lesson plans, ensuring you have the correct resources available and liaising with other members of staff as necessary. You will also need facilitate learning by the use of a variety of teaching training approaches, maximising the use of aids and resources which will be available to enhance your lesson plan.
