      1.1 Explain the teaching role and responsibilities in education and training.
Throughout my experience of facilitating groups, my role is to encourage learners motivate them, listen and facilitate the group, Ensuring basic needs of the group are paramount, which would include providing suitable housekeeping such as refreshments, toilets and safety amenities – evacuation points. The teacher will also provide learning and achieve outcomes for students by producing a lesson plan which will enable the teacher to plan and prepare for the session. Responsibilities also include set up of the learning environment which should be welcoming and inviting and provide inclusion for all.

1.2 Summarise key aspects of legislation, regulatory requirements and codes of practice relating to own role and responsibilities.
Relevant to my role, the main Codes of Practice I will demonstrate would be;
  * Health & Safety at Work Act (1974). This was established to secure the health, safety and welfare of persons at work. This includes ensuring that the environment is a safe and secure place. This can be achieved by completing a Risk Assessment of the environment.
  * Data Protection Act (1998). This controls how personal information is used by organisations or businesses. This is to ensure all confidential information remains. that way i.e. paper information is stored away in lockable cabinets, the use of confidential waste is used or shredding of unneeded documents.
  * Equality Act (2010). This provides a legislative framework which protects the rights of individuals and advances equal opportunities. This is a key part of the legislation that learning and assessment must be accessible to all. This can be achieved by teachers adapting their...
