These questions will enable you demonstrate knowledge across mandatory units of the qualifications. You may need to read up on policy, procedures or use the handouts in your portfolio. It can help to relate the questions to real examples from your work just be careful not breach confidentiality by using real names of service users.

Try to answer as many questions as you can. If you have difficulty answering a question move to the next. You can discuss questions with your assessor at the next meeting.

When you have completed all the questions and your assessor is satisfied you have met the required standard, you will have achieved 2 units and have evidence towards 3 other units.

Person centred is about providing care and support that is centred and focused around the individual and their needs. We are all individual people and just because two individuals may have the same medical condition for example dementia this does not need that they require the same care and support.
Tp work in a person centred way then the support staff need to develop a clear understanding of the individual and the care they recieve. This includes the individuals needs and culture, their means of communication, the individuals likes and dislikes, their family and other professional...
