Hard Work

Hard Work
All around the world, we can see people working as hard as they can to do anything from putting food on the table to competing on a world class stage. I believe that it is more important to work hard than to be talented because you have to work hard to achieve things, and when you work hard enough, you could eventually become very talented and succeed.
In order to achieve goals such as providing for your family or competing worldwide, you must work hard enough to earn the money or supplies to do so. Horace states, “Life grants nothing to us mortals without hard work.” This means you have to work hard for accomplishments. We can’t just sit around and be talented or that’s just what you’ll be good at. There are people out there that struggle to feed their family but they still work very hard to get that paycheck. Even the wealthiest person you can imagine worked hard for that money. Even the talented have to work hard.
Talented people may not have to work as hard as many others to get things, but they did work to get there. For example, someone like Peyton Manning or Tom Brady didn’t just randomly become star quarterbacks in the NFL. They worked very hard all through their hiou gh school and college years to get better and better. There is a quote that applies to this that says, “Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard.” Talent can give you many things but talent means you don’t necessarily have to work very hard for things, and when you get that mentality, you lose your talent and start struggling. Hard work will eventually beat talent and take you much farther. In the end, hard work will take you farther in life. On top of that, when you work hard enough, you will become very talented and succeed. As long as you keep working hard!
