There is a clear unity of purpose where team members share a sense of purpose and common goals, and each team member is willing to work to achieve these goals.There was free discussion of the objectives until members could commit themselves to them; the objectives are meaningful to each team member. The team identifies its own resources and uses them, depending on its needs. The team willingly accepts the influence and leadership of the members whose resources are relevant to the immediate task.2. The team is self-conscious about its own operations and is aware of and interested in its own processes. The team has taken time to explicitly discuss group process -- how the team will function to achieve its objectives. The team has a clear, explicit, and mutually agreed uponapproach: mechanics, norms, expectations, rules, etc. Frequently, it will stop to examine how well it is doing or what may be interfering with its operation.
