Week Two

Owning a business can be stressful; however as a team we feel that having the right tools that can help us make things easier would create a lot more efficiency in the work place.   Tools such as excel, spread sheets power point and other similar tools can help a business run more efficiently,   as well as   time spent on projects, however the ultimate goal is for it to make more money.   For any of the team members that are looking to open up a business, we feel that knowing these tools is just part of it,. Another important factor that we reviewed during week 1 was some of the acts established by congress. Knowing these will play a key element when running a business, to ensure that neither the employees nor we are breaking any rules or regulations.
In Week One we discussed the basics of information technology and its evolution. Information technology is any computer-based took that people use to work with information and support the information and information-processing needs of an organization. The world of information technology consists of hardware, software, databases, data communications, procedures, and people. These functions are also known as the information systems, they are need to perform some or all of the information technology tasks. Information technology is essential to solving problems, unlocking creativity, and making people effective and efficient. These functions flatten an organization making allowing lines for communication to open internally and externally.
In Week One we also covered the ethical issues that arise with the emergence of technology. As we read in chapter 3 of the course material we found that the “Fundamental tenets of ethics include responsibility, accountability, and liability.”  (Rainer & Cegielski, 2011). As technology...
