When that first strand of beads hit me in the head, I knew vie arrived at
Mardi Gras. Garish floats, masked strangers, marching bands, throngs of revelers
invading my space... For newcomers, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the
madness. But that first string of low-flying beads? I knew it was an invitation to
join the fun. I’ve never seen so much Purple, gold, and green until this week. All I
could do was accept the beads and embrace the chaos. As floats constantly pass by
ill notice that there was a theme to every parade which matched up with their
costumes that was in interesting and amusing sight to see. It was my first year of
carnivals and I loved everything about it, especially living on st Charles being able
to glimpse out the window to catch all of the weird and awkward moments of
everyone on hardcore booze. It was an experience I enjoyed greatly, the
countdown for 2017 mardi gras begin.
