The Grand Design Show is an exhibition with a large target audience for anyone interested in interiors, building, kitchens, gardens, shopping, bathrooms, food and technology. It takes place twice a year once in London and once in Birmingham yearly. Attending they will be able to purchase the products there and then enabling them to build, buy and furnish a whole house. The event purpose is to provide them with plenty of amazing ideas to make the most of your home to turn it into their dream home. Participants and suppliers were many different companies who were to do with build, interior, food, gardens or lighting. There were many different companies of each all supplying different ranges.
The show was held in ExCeL Docklands, east London and later this year in October it will be held again in NEC Birmingham to target people more north of the country. It took place from 1st – 9th May 2010 open 10am to 6pm.
Ticket prices for customers were £18 on the door, £13 in advance and children under 16 were free.
The event organisers for the show this year was Media 10. They managed to get several sponsors who were:
  * Velux - manufactured the world's leading roof windows
  * First Direct - the UK's leading offset mortgage provider, was the official sponsor of the Grand Village section. The Grand Village is where the customers could get first hand experience and the very latest sustainable build techniques. They could have seen eco-technology in place with fully furnished show homes bringing them work-able solutions for sustainable living. They also sponsored The Grand Seminar Theatre
  * Philips – the global leader in lighting solutions, introduced consumers to a brand new era of exciting lighting possibilities for the home
  * Miele – the German...
