Flow Chart
In the following, a daily process shall be selected in which one will like to spend less time doing. Also, a flowchart will be designed using an appropriate tool. The factors that affect the process design will be discussed and one metric will be identified to measure the process. The day is filled with many activities in which one would like to spend less time doing. Cooking is something that people would like to spend less time doing. Further on, we shall see this process in the form of a flow chart. The following flow chart was created using Microsoft Word. A flow chart can be a valuable tool when it comes to analyzing and adjusting work processes. The factors that affect the process design are quite a few. The first factor is what does one feel like eating at dinner time. Some people have the luxury of selecting anything that they want because they are good cooks. They can pick whatever they want and cook it well in a short period of time. Another factor that may affect the process design is the cost of the meal. Chicken and beef are affordable but maybe seafood is a little pricier. During these economic times it is more likely to eat cheaper even though once in a while one may want to indulge in a more expensive cut of meat such as filet mignon or maybe lobster.   A person may also have health issues that influence on his diet. He has to be careful about which food he eats and the method in which he prepares it. Some people cannot eat too much salt or red meats. Others must eat foods low in carbohydrates. Others may have food allergies and cannot eat certain foods. Another factor that affects the process is the amount of people you are cooking for. Obviously for one person one doesn’t have to cook as much. If you have a family, definitely there is more time spent preparing the food and cooking it. In an effort to save time...
