Question 1.1
Describe the duties and responsibilities of own work role
It is part of my job role as a health care assistant to understand my own work role, for instance I should keep up to date with changes to practice, keeping up to date changes to procedures, protection of vulnerable adults, health and safety.
It is part of my job role as a carer to support bilingual individuals and also know my contractual responsibilities like hours of shifts, lines of reporting specific roles and responsibilities.

Explain expectations about own work role as expressed in relevant standards
Refer to the GSCC code of practice which states social workers must:
* Protect the rights and promote the interests of service users and carers
* Strive to establish and maintain the trust and confidence of service user and carers
* Promote the independence of service users whilst seeking to ensure that their behavior does not harm themselves or other people
* Be accountable for the quality of their work and take responsibility for maintaining and improving their knowledge and skills.
* Uphold public trust and confidence in social care services.
Respect the rights of service users whilst seeking to ensure that their behavior does not harm themselves or other people. Also the “Care quality commission” Essential standards of quality and safety.

Explain the importance of reflective practice in continuously improving the quality of service provided
Reflection which could be examination of personal thoughts and actions, basically it focuses on how you interact with individuals, colleagues, and the environment.
