REFLECTION PAPER
Christmas it's not about gifts and food. It’s all about praising God and having fun times with each other; it’s all about sharing and giving to those people who are unfortunate.
For me, this kind of project/activities that we did is one of a kind experience. It shows the true essence of Christmas. We carol in every house just to have enough money to buy food for the children and poor families. We do not care how hard it is, the important thing is extend to them the Christmas. We gave Noche Buena package to the families who are hard in life and provide foods to 30 children. I was happy that I contributed some help for them, whether it's small but it comes from our hearts.
Two words that I get in this activity that I can surely define Christmas are sharing and spirit of giving. During our holidays we spend our time to the children and families to give our simple gifts and food that we prepared for them. We want everyone to feel special during Christ birthday.   While giving, I saw the smile on their lips; of course I’m also happy to see them happy, I felt pity as well because I see their hard life.
Now I realize that I am very grateful for what I have even if it is not what I asked for. So share our blessings to those in need.
In this activity I learn how to give and share without a thought of getting. It is happiness because we see joy in people. It is forgetting self and finding time for others. It is discarding the meaningless and stressing the true values. The amazing thing is that not only are we able to receive this gift, but we are able to share it with others on Christmas and every other day of the year. Now I believe in the saying “it’s better to give than to receive.”
At the end, I was happy that I brought joy to children and families.
