Good morning Class,
I have been grading all assigned term papers & as I did I came cross a student who hs attempted to submit an inauthentic paper. Unbeknownst to them we have The Plagiarism Checker which promotes originality in any students work & prevents plagiarism, either inadvertent or intentional.
The paper submitted gave a 16% similarity report from another source in the internet. Plagiarism is dishonest and will not be tolerated in this class. Plagiarism is the “unauthorized” use of someone’s thoughts or ideas & submitted as your own.it s complete lack of respect for the Professor as well as for the true author of the paper. I will not give any credit for papers that are submitted as such. If I find this to happen again during the quarter, no more work will be accepted from that person & further disciplinary action will have to be taken. Other types of behavior that constitute academic dishonesty would be even using the same wording of another’s document and just switching the order around. Plagiarism is an act of dishonesty and it will not be accepted. This is a University and as such, assignments given are to test your skills and knowledge in the matter not to steal someone else’s thoughts in a demeaning manner. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter and I hope not to find myself reiterating myself in the near future, Thank You.
