To much salt in the blood can cause the heart to work harder. Natural maintenance of a normal BP levels include drinking 6-8 glasses of water per day, walking relieves stress and tones circulation. Prescribed medication can help to also maintain blood pressure.Diastolic is the pressure in the arteries which occurs near the beginning of the cycle when the ventricles are filled with blood.Systolic pressure is the peak pressure which occurs near the end of the cardiac cycle when the ventricles are contracting.An ideal blood pressure should be below 120/80 in a young fit healthy individual. High blood pressures are readings over 140/90 which are monitored and constant over a number of weeks. It can put a great strain on the heart and increase the risk of a heart attack or stroke.it can also cause heart and kidney disease. Causes of high blood pressure can be too much salt in the diet and not enough exercise. Overweight, too much alcohol and not enough fruit and vegetables in an individual’s diet.
