First: General conditions for pharmaceutical and herbal products advertising:
1- The product can’t be advertised unless it is registered at the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) which could exclude some unregistered invented drugs to define them in scientific symposium and seminars. 2- The acceptance of advertisement’s content for prescribed or nonprescribed pharmaceutical (OTC) and herbal products. 3- The acceptance of pharmaceutical and herbal products advertisement is limited to scientific bulletin, seminaries and meetings for specialists. 4- Obtaining the acceptance of (SFDA) on the pharmaceutical and herbal products advertisement content before it is been published or broadcasted. 5- The purpose of the advertisement must not conflicted with the internal leaflet and the summary of product characteristics (SPC). 6- The advertisement must not conflicted with the Islamic (Shareea) laws teachings or the society’s tradition. 7- The advertisement should be appropriate to the society’s customs. 8- The advertisement must not included on any offensive hints or phrases to other products. 9- The advertisement should not include misleading information. 10- The advertisement should not include on phrases the might be misinterpreted. 11- The category of targeted audience must be determined. 12- The acceptance decision number of SFDA must be appeared on the advertisement. 13- The company can submit an advertisement application through an authorized advertisement company. 14- The applicant company must be obligated to what SFDA decides about adding, erasing or adjusting on the advertisement.

15- The advertisement form is valid for one year from the date of the SFDA acceptance decision.
