Roles and Functions Paper
In this paper, there will be detail discussion on how important role and function for health care manger. How different aspect related to health care management can be significant in a class or meeting setting.
In today’s society, heath care mangers are dealing with many functions to manage their department with modern technologies, great time management skills and be accountable for every employee within the department while still encouraging a high quality diverse work environment. Many healthcare mangers try to use the four major function of management, which are organization, planning, controlling and leadership. Now according to D.M. Lombardi and J.R. Schermerhorn (2007) states, “The ultimate “bottom line” in every manager’s job is to succeed in helping an organization achieve high performance while utilizing all of its human and material resources.”   Now as the new clinical manger for the hyperbratic department at the current medical facility that I currently work. I would like to apply these same goals and values to encourage my employees that now only are there an open door policy but they have a strong leader behind them. There will be many way that my employees could get in contact with me such as e-mails, face-to-face, telephone and PDA’s. Now according to V.J. Watzlaf and Moeini S. Garvin (2007) states “As technology increases the amount and accessibility of healthcare information, the professional is positioned to support the three core public health functions of assessment, assurance, and policy development.” I think with monthly meetings and networking with other departments will help me and others to understand how we can better manage our departments more effectly....
