Research Title:
Understanding Stress factors which influences St Patrick’s students in their academic achievement.
Introduction and Background:
Especially due to the present way of life for the individuals, the factor of stress has become an inevitable part of our lives. As has been confirmed by a number of previous researcher as well as industry practitioners there are various negative effects of stress in terms of psychology as well as physiology for the human beings. However the challenging stimulus which is generated through a certain level of stress in the individuals have the ability of bringing about positive outcomes which includes improved task performance as well as motivation. However on the other hand an excess level of stress can threaten the people with various negative factors which may give rise to depression, anxiety, social dysfunction and even suicidal intention (Lazarus & Folkman, 1984). Various medical studies also have been able to prove that a high level of stress can have negative repercussions on the lives of the individuals. Some of negative effects which can be generated through stress are the following such as chest pain, headache, high blood pressure, sleeping problems, and stomach ache (Chakraburtty, 2005).
Aim
The aim is to identify as well as understand the various reasons for stress in addition to identify the ways for justifying the stress for the college students.
Objectives
  * Understand various factors that causes stress for college students.
  * Identify methods of dealing with various elements of stress.
  * To determine how college help the student under stress
