The position you have applied for has been identified as a regulated or controlled activity within the terms of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act (2006).   It requires us, therefore to apply for a criminal records check via the Disclosure & Barring Service under the provisions of the Police Act 1997 (Criminal Records) Regulations (as amended).

Before you can be considered for appointment to work with vulnerable groups, within St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, we must be satisfied of your character and suitability.
