Health Care Communication Methods
    I'm the communication coordinator for a national drug company “Well Being”. There have been reports of significant negative effects caused by one of my business's medication, which is used by tens of thousands of people. I want to address the different types of communication methods that will be used in dealing with the public. I will discuss the advantages of using traditional, electronic and social media in disseminating this information to the public. Lastly, I will examine the effects of HIPAA and other regulations on the utilization of these media for conveying the information to the public.
    The company received a complaint regarding a bottle of Enteric Coated Aspirin Tablets, 81mg.   The bottle in question contained Acetaminophen 500 mg tablets instead of Enteric Coated Aspirin 81mg.
    Enteric Coated Aspirin Tablets are indicated for the temporary relief of minor aches and pains.   The lot being recalled is Lot #13A026 with an expiration date of 01/2015.   It was manufactured and packaged by Advanced Pharmaceutical Inc. under the label of Rugby Laboratories.
      If you or someone you know have the affected lot, discontinue its use and return it to the pharmacy or store where it was purchased.   If you have experienced any problems related to the product, contact your healthcare provider.
      As you were sitting down, you found posters, which my company developed to address the issue in hand. It is written in English and Spanish languages, but we designated a specific telephone line for other languages, where you can call and talk to the translators.
