Climate Change

Lopez, Emily
Climate change, also known as Global Warming, is a change in climate patterns that are related to the increasing levels of carbon dioxide (greenhouse gasses) produced by mainly fossil fuels. [Climate change is brought on my human activity (1).] Human induced climate change is not being taken serious enough, as this disaster of one of our own creation and it still persist. [Many of the largely settled scientific issues, such as the human responsibility for global warming, remain the subject of politically or economically motivated attempts to dismiss them, also known by academics and scientist as climate change denial (2)]. When in reality their denial of human induced climate change makes no logical sense as there is plenty of information, and data as evidence that humans are affecting the climate and causing change. As [a consensus of 97% of climate scientist agree, according to NASA, that climate change is being heavily influenced by humans (3).] There are many human activities that cause the buildup of carbon dioxide and greenhouse gasses that influence climate change. Such as [changes in land patterns, deforestation, land clearing, and agriculture all lead to rises in emissions of carbon dioxide (4).] [As well as simple everyday activities that we depend on like production plants, factory and industrial farming, overdependence and poor maintenance of automobiles, and sources of power that burn oil, coal, or natural gas (fossil fuels) {5}]. [All of these human activities are raising carbon emissions and forming greenhouse gasses; which are taking a great toll on this planets climate. As the emissions affect the climate, it is also effecting the environment (6).] [As climate change rises heat temperatures rise globally and some types of weather become more frequent and severe in recent decade with extreme heat. Having an effect for example on the Arctic environment and habitat (7).] [The Arctic land begins to melt only leaving bodies of water in...
