Part 2

In approximately 125 to 200 words, describe health and wellness in your own words using the ideas and concepts for each of the six dimensions of health.

My idea of physical health includes walking. I do not push myself to the point of injury, but I make sure to keep my body in motion. Always surround yourself with positive people. I believe being socially healthy and responsible helps to make better decisions. Your mind needs to be challenged. Keeping your mind occupied with knowledge strengthens your core – the mind. In order to enjoy the benefits of our surroundings, we need to protect our environment. Recycling is a start, and can make a difference in the world tomorrow. We should be aware of changes in our mental state. We should be open and honest with someone we trust. I believe the key to optimal well-being starts with a good sense of emotional well-being. Lastly, we all need a spiritual retreat. I choose meditation. It gives me a chance to reflect on the day that has passed. Therefore, it relaxes and opens up the mind for tomorrow.
