Dear Sir / Madam

I wish to apply for the position you have advertised for a Sports Coach. My knowledge, skills and experience make me the perfect candidate for this role.

I am currently working Part Time for the Cardinal Langley School Partnership as a Sport Coach coaching trampolining, gymnastics and cheerleading to children between the ages of five and sixteen. I have recently left the Army where I was working as a Royal Military Police Solider. I have extensive experience training and coaching young people in a variety of sports.

Sport and fitness training have always been important to me, which is why I chose to study for a degree in Sport Science and Coaching. I obtained a 2:2 grade in my degree and particularly excelled in the Sports Anatomy & Physiology, Sports Injuries and Sports Coaching modules.
Equally beneficial for the role is my experience as a part-time Cheerleading and Multi Skills Coach and my time working as a Play Scheme Leader for Manchester Council, both of these jobs involved working with children in a leadership role.

I am enthusiastic, reliable, organised and hardworking. My motivation, great sense of humour and positive nature enable me to relate to people at all fitness levels and ages, and I often prove to be a great role model for young athletes. I have competed many times in team challenge events and therefore work well in a team environment.

I have also attached my CV and a Person Specification. If you need any further information please feel free to contact me.

I look forward to hearing from you and discussing this further.

Yours sincerely

Leanne Carroll
