Laws

Laws and rights exist in the United States to keep people free and safe in our country. Individual rights exist to give people freedoms. Freedom is the item that keeps the people of this country happy. People feel secure in what they are doing during their everyday lives. Public order is in place to keep society as a whole safe from misdeeds. Public order is also a system in place that restricts some freedoms that people may want. Freedoms are the ideals in life that everyone can take advantage of no matter who they are.
Individual rights are the rights that people are given to keep them from being mistreated by the government or anyone else. Most of these rights are to keep the people from being mistreated by the Justice system. The bill of rights helps to safeguard the citizens of this country. The Bill of rights, give people the right to “due process of law, fair trial, and freedom from self-incrimination, cruel and unusual punishment and being held in jeopardy twice for the same crime.”   Person’s individual rights are what keep people happy throughout his or her life. People are given many different rights that make them feel happy and appreciated even if they do not recognize them. Individual rights are freedoms that let people choose who they want to be and also give them the fair treatment that they deserve to get as a citizen.
Public order also offers advantages that pertain to people. These advantages do not apply to people on a personal level, but instead the advantages apply to the public as a whole. Public order is the laws that are in place to keep society secure and safe from outside harm.
In 2011 I view myself a public order advocate because I believe the safety of everyone and our country as a whole is more important than one person’s individual right of expression or speech.
