Digital Marketing is an important marketing in recent years. In the 1990s the internet has significantly improved and developed. The marketing of products or services using digital channels to reach consumers. The key objective is to promote brands through various forms of digital media.
Digital marketing extends beyond internet marketing to include channels that do not require the use of the internet. It includes social media marketing, mobile phones display advertising, search engine marketing, and any other form of digital media.
The researches show that 'digital' is not just yet another channel for marketing. It requires a new understanding of customer, a new approach to marketing and behaviour. For example, it encourages companies to analyse and quantify the value of downloads of apps on mobile devices, tweets on Twitter, on Facebook and so on. The fastest growing communications technology is the mobile communication system around the world (David and Fiona, 2013). Most of the companies make apps to download on mobile phone or on devices, one of the famous companies is IKEA.
The IKEA is a Swedish company published in1943 and has more than 345 stores in 27 countries around the world. It could say that it is the biggest home furnishing retailer across the world , is one of the early companies has adopted the digital marketing in its policies and has made maximum use of the social media clubbed with massive importance on its digital catalogue which forms the main objective   of the retailer’s marketing strategy. The digital marketing forms about 70 per cent of its annual marketing spend, that’s help to enhanced spread widely on social media and website.
