An educational psychologists job role is to hep and focus on children and young people that are suffering from difficulties within an educational facility, with the goal of improving their learning skills.
Whilst doing so there will more than likely be problems that will occur, this may include social or emotional issues that may arise and there may also be some learning difficulties that will challenge the children or young peoples learning skills.

An educational psychologists work will be focused on working with individuals or maybe with groups it all depends on their circumstances, also the educational psychologist would be advising:
Parents
Social Workers
Teachers and also other professionals.

The client that would be assessing the child would have to be using an observational method, such as testing materials and interviews. There are lots of different types of appropriate interventions that an educational psychologist has to offer children and young people, such as helping them use a learning programme that will give them all the advise and guidance they will need. An educational psychologist will also encourage working with parents and teachers to enhance the performance of the child.
The service also provides a course based on helping teachers and other proffesions understand and showing them how to manage and control the stress and behaviour that the child may endure during the time of enhancing their learning capabilities.
Duties that have to be followed by the educational psychologist would involve:
Making sure assesments are being carried out in order to asses the childs emotional needs.
Any assesments that have been carried out has to be sent to a multi-agency team for them to help with giving advise on the what would be the best approaches and provisions that would benefit the child's learning and development.
Management of therapeutic and behaviour programmes would be put into place.
