The United States (U.S.) in 1776 was declared independent and symbolized democratic prosperity for the wellness of all the American citizens. However, civilians residing in the U.S. today have undergone devastating tragedies that has turned their “perfect” country upside down. Even Immigrants have departed their countries to live a better life in America; yet what they do not realize is that the nation has evolved into a state of crisis that has been ignored for several years. The 21st century has modernized so much that citizens do not seem to notice what is going on around their society and in even in their households. Some of the issues that are causing a crisis in this nation are the lack of moral values being taught, the increase of unemployment, and the increase of crime.
One example that depicts America in a state of crisis is that numerous people have lost their sense of moral values. Parents now a day’s let their children’s role model be Paris Hilton or Lindsey Lohan that have had various personal problems that consist of consummation of drugs, alcohol, and imprisonment. There has also been a decline of students graduating from high school because of family problems disrupting the teenager’s life, which leads to less educated people for the working society. Also, people can pass by a dying person and will not stop to help them, and will not even do the simplest things of helping a disabled person through a door. It is not just people doing these horrible things; there are health insurance companies that deny a patient just to become the best money saver of their company. Citizens pay thousands of dollars for insurance so it can help them, not to help take away their life. Americans do not realize that they are their child’s role model, whatever the parent does, the child follows.
