Discrimination- This is an act of giving favor to or against a person or thing that can be based on their racial group or social class.   The can lead to people believe that they are superior that can lead to many problems. During World War II, the Nazi’s thought they were the superior race and want to get rid of other races like Jews.
Prejudice- This is can be attitudes and opinions that target race, religious and social groups. This played a huge part during the years before the civil rights movement in the 1960’s. Before that time people let their racial prejudice get in the way of full equality for all instead they didn’t allow blacks to be able to buy food a certain places because for their racial beliefs.  
Stereotypes- They are standard consumptions that are place on people of racial group and by their occupation. People say Irish people like to drink even though there are Irish people that don’t drink.
Assimilation- This is the process of blending and fusing of minority groups into the dominant society. This happened when the Affirmative action doctrine has put into effect when people of minority groups were given the chance to work in the same place and position of people of the majority race.
matrix of domination This is a sociological paradigm that explains issues of oppression that deals with, race class and gender. A prime explain is the glass ceiling work face in cooperate America when they climb that ladder.
fusion This is the process of putting to things together. America is built upon the fusion other people they bring people from different culture and puts them all together.
pluralism This has been a theory that has said there is more than one basic substance or principle. This can are very useful when explaining the pros and cons of Affirmative Action.
