Focus on Beauty Treatments

There are ever increasing numbers of treatments being offered and available across the beauty industry, both in high street salons, spas and at home. Here I will be focusing on three readily available treatments in salons and spas. The treatments I will focus on are sunless tanning, hot stone massages and body wrapping.
Tanning Services:
Tanning services are on the increase, as people become more aware of the effects of sun and sunbed damage. They are a very popular service and are almost universally available across the beauty industry. These services give you a healthy looking glow without doing any damage to the skin; there is no UV exposure and the risk of skin cancers is eliminated entirely.
Sunless tans are usually either spray tans or lotion’s/creams/gels. Prior to treatment it is recommended that a client exfoliates the areas that are to be tanned, after the exfoliation it is also recommended that the skin be well moisturized. This is to help prevent patchy coverage of the tan. It’s also advised that no makeup or deodorants are worn for the treatment. Therapists will also advise clients to wear loose/baggy and dark clothing in order to not stain their clothes post treatment. How to maintain a tan will also be discussed, keeping the skin moisturized and to not wash off the tan until the full development time has elapsed.
Spray Tans are done with the client stood in a pod or fabric tent. The tan is itself sprayed on using airbrush gun/machine. Clients can wear their own underwear or can wear disposable underwear...
