Women in Combat

Women in Combat

Women have served in the Armed Forces for many years now.   Even with the years that the women have had to prove that they are just as capable as the men I still do not feel that woman should be fighting in combat.   The biggest reason for me against women in combat is that I feel a man will not be as focused on the mission with a woman next to him.   Since birth men have been taught to protect women.   So with women in combat they are going to still be concerned with protecting the women.   This will distract from the focus of the mission.   Another reason is that emotionally war is hard and our soldiers are already suffering from post dramatic syndrome.   Could you imagine the impact it would have on a soldier seeing a women soldier die next to them?   It ties in with my first reason, wanting to protect females.   I think this would double or triple the amount of soldiers we see come back suffers from P.T.S.   Another reason I do not agree with women in combat is that females have a period monthly.   Now during their period are they going to be able to break from combat to take care of their personal hygiene needs?   That is not possible in a real combat situation.   So these are my reasons that I feel women should not be allowed in combat. I feel very strongly on this subject which I think this essay reflexs.
