Why Abortion is good for the World

Abortion is regarded as one of the biggest controversies of all time, There are two sides to the argument: Pro-Life and Pro-Choice.
The definition of abortion is “the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks” Pro-Choice believers support the idea woman should have the right to do whatever they want to their body however Pro-Life believers would rather the woman suffers through an unwanted pregnancy and give birth to a child she doesn’t want. Many Pro-Life believers don’t realise that if abortions were made illegal they would still be performed, all illegalising abortion would do is put the life of the mother at more risk as the procedure wouldn’t be as safe as a legal one.
Some Pro-Life believers are sympathetic in situations such as rape and incest but others would have you go through nine months of pain so you can give birth to something you can’t bear to look at. Abortion can result in a woman being harassed for making a choice which could alter the outcome of her entire life. There are cases, in which women that have had an abortion have been assaulted for having the procedure performed on them.
Another belief Pro-Life supporters have is that abortion is murder and by aborting your unborn child you are in fact murdering a baby however there is no evidence to show that a foetus can actually feel pain, in fact there is no evidence to say that a foetus even knows it’s alive, another reason many women have an abortion is because of the amount of money it costs to care for a baby. Some people aren’t in the financial position to have a child and as a result they will not be able to feed, clothe or provide a high enough standard of life for the baby.   Pro-choice believes that a 15 year-old girl who gets pregnant because she wasn’t 100% aware of her actions and the consequences that would follow deserves another chance.

Some people are forced into believing Pro-Life because...
