              Introduction
              Introduction

It is an established fact that the rays of light usually undergo deviation in their path while passing from one medium to another.
This is due to the fact that light travels with different velocities in different medium.
On this basis, µ with respect to two media may be defined as the ratio of velocities of light in one medium to that of another medium.
