Part I:   Group Development

    One of the first things to consider when discussing a formal work unit, a virtual team,or a self-managing team is the fact that the team passes through a series of life cycle changes; and depending on the stage the team reaches the team leader will face different changes and the team will either be more or less effective.(   Schermerhorn/Hunt/Osborn/Uhl-Bien (2010) Organizational Behavior, 11th edition.My primary thinking style is Constructive.   I scored a raw score of 37 which placed me in the 90th percentile in Humanistic-Encouraging, as   well as Achievement putting me in the 85th percentile   and a raw score of 34 placing me in the 80th   percentile in Self-Actualizing.   Constructive Style individuals are   people and tasks oriented and   have a tendency to promote the fulfillment of higher order needs.   Most people who fall under this thinking style are more directed toward the attainment of organizational goals through the development of people.   The Achievement Style person sets goals and is enthusiastic about working towards these challenging but realistic goals. In pursuit of these goals they are likely to follow a well-developed plan that is considered to be   in depth,   just to achieve high quality results,   This kind of person will carefully examine their options before deciding on a plan of action.  The Self-Actualizing person is said to be individualistic by nature but has a strong interest in working to become everything they are capable of being, we have a healthy sense of self-worth and a strong curiosity of about people and things with an acute awareness of our own and other’s feelings.
