The beach provided a peaceful place where family and friends could relax and have fun. With sand at the feet of the young boy, and the ocean in front of him, he sat down in his chair. The sound of the crashing waves soothed him into a state of rest. The gentle breeze coming off the water neutralized the brutal heat of the scorching sun. Many people were reading while children ran around playing and laughing. The smell of sunscreen and of the ocean filled the air. Some families were eating their lunches while enjoying each other’s company. The smell of the food soon took over the air for a short while. The young boy allowed his thoughts to drift away as he fell asleep lying down in the sand. He could stay as long as he wanted, for the beach always welcomes everyone. The beach provided a peaceful place where family and friends could relax and have fun.

The beach was a hot, overcrowded place which was nearly unbearable. There was barely enough room for the young boy and his family to squueze onto the beach. The sun was scorching hot, and its rays could be felt burning the back of the young boy. The sounds of seagulls signaled that they were circling above, looking for food to steal. The young boy had to hide all the food that he had so that the seagulls could not take it. Many people had reddened skin from the blazing sun. Also, many people had their own radios. This caused one, large slur of sound that made for an uncomfortable and restless atmosphere. There were children running all aroun, kicking up sand. The sand was then carried on the gentle wind coming off the ocean. This caused the sand to be spread amongst all of the young boy’s belongings. The beach provided a very uncomfortable atmosphere that the young boy wished he would have avoided.
