Scholarship Essay

My first scholarship is the   State Student Assistance Commission of Indiana. This scholarship is for full-time or part-time students admitted in a nursing program at an eligible Indiana college or university with a minimum 2.0 GPA who agree to work as a nurse in a health care setting in Indiana for at least two years. My second scholarship is the Gen and Kelly Tanabe Scholarship. This is open to ninth through twelfth grade students, college students, and graduate students who are United States residents that submit a 250 word personal essay. The award must be used towards school tuition, room and board, books, or anything related to educational expenses. The deadline is December 31, 2011. My last scholarship is the WyzAnt College Scholarship. This is for students who plan to attend a four year college or university between August 1, 2012 and November 1, 2014. To be eligible you have to write an essay with a maximum of 300 words about your most important life lesson that you’ve learned that is based on votes from your social media contacts or email. I believe that I would be an excellent candidate for the State Student Assistance Commission of Indiana scholarship given that my chosen career path to be a nurse will enable me to fulfill my passion to help others, to expand my knowledge base, and allow me to give back to my community.   My current job, personal life experiences, and the fact I would be a third generation nurse in my family has also helped play a substantial part in shaping me to become a nurse, along with giving me a wealth of knowledge, resources, and experience.   Presently, I work fulltime in the ICU at Howard Regional Health System as a secretary/ monitor tech.   I enjoy working...
