Explain How you would Promote Inclusion, Equality and Diversity with your current Future Learners. Identify other points of referral available to meet the potential Needs of Learners.

As a tutor it’s important to acknowledge and respect the needs of all learners. So therefore I would ensure my students have access to facilities, resources and equipment which are available for my lesson.

To promote inclusion means that as a tutor my lesson plan would be to include all learners in the same activities but maybe adjusting them to suit each individual needs so that they can participate effectively. This may involve altering font sizes and adjusting handouts to suit everyone irrespective of their race, age, gender, religion, disability and sex orientation.   It means in some circumstances altering the language used, modify the traditional setting plan and classroom room layout for wheelchair uses to make easier access. Being able to hand out documents with differing languages would cater for a diverse range of learners, understanding important things such as health and safety issues. By explaining to my learners through class room discussions that all are encouraged to share their thoughts and opinions, would help them to work better in a team and remove barriers between them.

Under the Equal Opportunities Act I would ensure equality and diversity to all my learners and staff. This means that the environment where the teaching is taking place promotes this and that any learning material does not discriminate against any individual or group, treating learners with respect and dignity regardless of their ability, circumstances or ethnic background.   Equality and Diversity promotes that everyone has equal rights and have the opportunity to achieve their potential, free from prejudice and discrimination.   Differentiation is the process by which differences between learners are accommodated so that all students in a group have the best possible chance of learning....
