Unit aim This unit covers the knowledge and understanding that a playworker needs to build relationships with children, young people and other adults in a play environment. Other adults must include parents and others involved in the care of children and young people Learning outcomes There are four learning outcomes to this unit. The learner will: 314.1 Understand how to develop relationships with children and young people 314.2 Be able to support communication with children and young people 314.3 Understand how to support children and young people in developing relationships with others 314.4 Understand how to communicate with adults Guided learning hours It is recommended that 20 hours should be allocated for this unit, although patterns of delivery are likely to vary Details of the relationship between the unit and relevant national standards This unit links to the following NOS
