Introduction
My second defending weakness is pressing/pressuring the ball individually and including as a team. This is frequently done in order to make the oppostion panic and hopefully result in the oppostion making a mistake and loosing the ball.
As a defensive player and in the team I'm currently playing for, it is important that i am able to quickly and effortlessly press the ball when needed to force my team further up the pitch. This is done in order to cut down space, reducing passing amd running space for the opposing players to travel with the ball, and halting the process for them to create chances.
When told to press, i can be useful and be effective in situations . However sometimes i am late off the mark, or potentially push to far up the pitch leaving gaps. I believe i can improve my weakness in this skill by improviing my approach, preparation and execution as a whole.
My role model Felanni shows a better approach to pressing, as hes always on his toes in matches, apposed to never staying flat footed or waiting for the ball to come to him. He also has a great 'football mind' as he knows when to press and when to sit back, and when to fill in gaps opening up.

Preparation
I have quite good reaction times, so at certain times throughout the game i am able to press the ball without hassle. In contrast to this my reaction times will decrease throughout the game due to fatigue and me being tired, as the game goes on.
My teams pressing starts from the opposing teams goal line kick, like many teams, this is done to optimise as much space as we can to then counter attack, or to then create an oppoortunity.
At times, i close down and go in too eager with a tendancy to sprint too fast which defeats the whole skill, as pressing is best done as a team. When the opposing team takes their goal kick, if taken short- the striker, my attacking midfielders and if needed me run towards the full backs; subsquently reducing the space on the...
