Movie Review

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is one of the most romantic, yet comical films made in the new millennium.   Directed by Donald Petrie, it is a wonderful story based on a short cartoon book of the same name.   Kate Hudson plays a great role as Andie Anderson, the resident “how to” girl for Composure magazine.   In an act of desperation to help her co-worker/friend out, she finds herself writing an article titled “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days”.   This amazing article consists of dating a guy and driving him away in 10 days using the classic mistakes most girls do in relationships.   On the other side, Benjamin Berry played by the amazing Matthew McConaughey is an advertising executive trying to break into the jewelry market.   He becomes involved in a (more interesting)bet to make any woman fall in love with him in 10 days in order to deliver the pitch on his companies biggest account.   When the two meet, they both think their tasks are going to be easy.   At the end of the 10 days when they both   realize they are madly in love with each other, they each find out the real truth.   In the end, Matthew’s character ends up chasing Kate’s character down before she makes it( bigger) where she feels she can write about anything.   This is one of the most amazing movies Kate has starred in.   Personally, I fell that Matthew and Kate are the busiest actors in Hollywood, and the hard work definitely pays off.   When the two team up for a movie, they are the most amazinhig on screen couple.   This is a (better chick) flick than any made that year.
