Motivation Letter

Dear Sir, Madam,

It is with great pleasure that I submit my application for a Master’s Degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University Leuven. I have a Bachelor degree in Public Administration with rich professional experience both in the NGO and the business sector.

Over the past few years, I have personally developed my interest in society as a subject to be researched in a historical manner, but moreover the aspects of social anthropology and the effect on our society. Through my work experience in the NGO sector; I was given the possibility to implement projects by utilizing both educational background and social factors in the frames of modern society. Dealing with youth issues via political and social acting, has aroused many important questions; how do we understand the world around us and what can we do to have an effect on it? I strongly believe in the power of improving the education, workforce preparation, and civic engagement. I would relish the opportunity of using my strengths and enthusiasm to follow the course you have, and believe my international background and experience could be used to enrich the debate.

I hope now with further studies to broaden my skills and knowledge and believe the Master’s Degree you offer corresponds to my personal development plan in terms of education and career development.

I am a person who enjoys studying and living in multicultural environments, a very communicative person who can see opportunities where others may find weaknesses. I would appreciate the opportunity of being admitted to your institution and am confident that my work ethic, academic background, and professional experience will be an asset.

Thank you very much for your consideration of my application.
