This paper will talk about why grains and animal products are a commodity. There are so many people on this planet and the people and business that are growing the meet that goes into the store have to change the ways they grow the meet to keep up with the demand of people wanting to buy the meet. In the upcoming years the people and business that are growing meet will have to learn how to grow the meet in different ways to meet the needs of the people.  
The article that I looked over talked about going international to meet the needs of the people. They are trying to see what it will take to keep the prices down on the meet. “Meet production has increased from around 120 million tons to more than 270 million tons in 2010. These changes have been driven by demand-side factors and supply-side determinants”   (Guyomard, Manceron, & Peyraud, 2013).  
With the growth of the world this is causing prices to go up because there is such a demand on the grains and animal products. The farmers need the grains to feed the animals so there can be meat in the market stores. There is becoming less and less land because there are more people on the earth than there was 60 years ago.
There are new ways that the people that deal with the livestock are finding new ways to grow the livestock to keep up with the demand that is needed. With people eating out all the time there is a lot of meet that is being made every day that is made and at the end of the day the business has to through the product a way. Here is some of the waist that could help cut down on how much livestock that needs to be grown every year.
