Level 3 Award Education and Training Assignment 302 Rationale

Form 4 Rationale for the selection of teaching and learning approaches, resources and assessment methods in relation to micro teaching

Training and learning approachesResourcesAssessmentsCommunication Feedback to learners | In order to be as inclusive as possible in my training   approach I have chosen to use elements from all of the most common learning styles encompassed in VARK, Visual, Aural, Reading/Writing and Kinesthetic. As most people favour one, other or a combination of these learning styles it makes sense to use elements from each in order to meet the individual learning needs of the class. There is a natural tendency for the teaching of Information Technology to favour the Kinesthetic, Reading/Writing and Aural learning styles with little emphasis on the visual. An inclusive approach to planning the lesson means that I had to focus on making my delivery style accessible, this means using terminology and examples that everyone can understand, speaking in clear voice using good English. This is important as some members of the class have English as a second language. Additionally whilst there is little scope for controversy in teaching Information Technology an inclusive approach to my teaching style meant I had to be aware that what I was   teaching shouldn’t offend anyone on the grounds of ageism, sexism, race, religion, ability, sexual orientation, mental or physical limitations etc. In short I had make sure the subject matter...
