Let Jesus be your Joy

Christmas is around the corner; most of us love to spend time with families and friends, go out Christmas shopping and do fun activities. Have you ever thought of what the real meaning of Christmas is all about? Many of us try to do various things to earn that, peace or happiness. People love to possess things like and they don’t have the real Joy in their lives. How can we get the real Joy? The answer is simple. Jesus is the only Joy.

There is no other Joy than Jesus in our hearts.   John 3:16 says “ For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” We need to simply believe, and accept Christ Jesus in our hearts as our personal Saviour. Only then, will God star His work in us. Once we have him in our hearts, we are part of God’s family. We, God’s people are privileged to be children of our Creator, Heavenly Father. It is also important, to have an intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father. As God’s children, we need to daily walk with Him. And as we do that, we are assured about God’s guidance going before us at all times. Proverbs 16: 9 says “In his heart a man plans his course but the Lord determines his steps.”   Psalm 32: 8 says “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.”

To walk with God means that we need His presence to go before us daily.   In our daily lives, we may face many different situations but as God’s children, we need to also put Jesus as our priority which brings Joy to us because then we would know definitely that God is in control of everything. Mark 12:30 says “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” Proverbs 16:3 says “Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed.” Putting Jesus First means we need to put our full commitment to Him.
