1. Know about the legislation, guidelines, policies and procedures for safeguarding the welfare of children and young people including e-safety.

The Legislation Has been reviewed recently March 2015, because of the local authority has a duty to investigate when there is a reasonable case to suspect a child   living in poor conditions and suffering,
Parents and professionals have a duty to make sure a child is kept safe,
The authority has a level of duty to make sure no child comes to harm.
When children are at school there are a range of polices to ensure the safety of each child, and to make sure all staff follow the correct procedure.

1.2 Describe the roles of different agencies involved in safeguarding the welfare of children and young people.

All schools have the responsibility to know what’s acceptable and what’s not acceptable behaviour.
All Adults, teachers TA, volunteers Head teachers etc. also have responsibility to safeguard the welfare of children there should always be a adult who is a representative   so each person knows who to go to if they have ant concerns.
All schools have have a responsibility to develop childrens knowledge.
The adults should also be aware of which childs is at greater risk and give them as much support and protect them.
They should also make sure there is adequate training available to all adults relating to Safeguarding. The agencies that work in partnership to safeguarding and welfare of children are as follows.
