KOLKATA- The Cultural Capital of India

Kolkata is the cultural capital of India and the commercial capital of   Eastern India.Earlier know as Calcutta,it is one of the oldest cities of India and was also the capital of India during the British Raj.

Now it is the capital of West Bengal.
This city of palaces is located in Eastern India on the banks of river Hoogly .
It is a city with overall potential for business,tourism,education and jobs as well. It is one of the higly populated and biggest cities of India.It is one of the four metropolitan cities of India.

It is not at all a problem for tourists to reach kolkata as there are different means of transport which connects kolkata with India and the world.
It has 3 major Railway Stations which connect the city with entire India and they are Sealdah,Howrah and also a new station “kolkata” which has been started in 2006.
Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose internarional airport at Dum dum connects kolkata with the major cities of the world.
In and around kolkata there are Underground Metro trains, Trams ,Hand pulled rickshaws,Yellow coloured ambassador taxis,buses,motor boats etc etc..

Kolkata has long been known for its literary, artistic and revolutionary heritage.
For tourists,there are many places of interests in kolkata.

The Indian Museum ,Science city, National library of India,Gurusaday Museum are a few places of interests if you are an art loving person and want to visit museums and libraries of the city.
