BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
Having a big company but small and congested factory, inventory is a bit hard because sometimes there no more space around the vicinity. Over crowded factory like Alex Genuine Leathers in San Mateo, Rizal, is a bit hassle to work due to the number of employees.
Founded by a businessman named Robert Ong, Alex Genuine Leather continues to create durable and lasting leather shoes and sandals since 1997. They distribute shoes, sandals, slippers all over manila and different provinces of our country. It’s first office was established in 49 5th st. Dona Hemady St. Manila, Quezon City.
They maybe not that known of a company, but their finished products are surely world-class made and promises to last longer than any other shoes. Their brand is trusted by many stores around the different parts of the country.
The San Mateo branch of their factory is managed by Mrs. Flory Dela Cruz since it’s establishment in 1997. They started with a small amount of employees, but now they already have 28 workers in different fields of work in the factory. They are paid based on their works and on how many shoes or sandals they can make in a day. The San Mateo branch s also the main focus of this study.
Since their beginning, they only rely on manual transactions and storing of data. And it’s a bit hassle due to; loss of records when misplaced, when they have errors they have to manually rewrite it and sometimes their inventory is not that accurate.
