Ajinomoto (Malaysia) Berhad, is a company under Ajinomoto Co., Inc., the world's first and still-largest producer of monosodium glutamate (MSG), is one of Japan's largest food-processing companies. In addition to seasonings, Ajinomoto produces edible oils, frozen and processed foods, beverages and dairy products, amino acids, pharmaceuticals, and other specialty chemicals. Although the company has operations in 20 countries, it derives nearly 80 percent of its revenues in its domestic sphere. Thus, Life Sciences and Materials Sciences are the main business areas for growth. The main vision of Ajinomoto is creating better lives globally by contributing to significant advances in Food and Health and by working for Life. Ajinomoto (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. revenue in the year 2008 is RM215, 462,459 and in the year 2009 is RM243,838,799. Depend to the revenue; Ajinomoto was earned two types of profit, which is before taxation and after taxation. The profit before taxation is RM40, 380,971 and RM25, 678,038 in the year 2008 and 2009. In the same years profit after taxation is RM31,984,464 and RM19,072,212. The main shareholder of the Ajinomoto (Malaysia)Berhad is Ajinomoto Co. Inc.   Amanah Raya Nominees (Tempatan) Sdn. Bhd- Skim Amanah Saham Bumiputera and Tan Chin Kok Gabriel. Gen (R) Tan Sri (Dr) Dato´Paduka Mohamed Hashim Bin Mohd. Ali was appointed Chairman of Ajinomoto (Malaysia) Berhad and Mr. Amano was appointed as Chief Executive Officer/ Managing Director. Beside that, the ajinomoto (Malaysia) Berhad also have 1 Non-Independent Non- Executive Director, 4 Independent Non- Executive Director, and 5 Executive Director.

Originally Ajinomoto was founded on 1907 by Dr. Kikunae Ikeda and Mr. Saburosuke Suzuki II in japan and it named as Suzuki Seiyakusho Co.
