The SENCO is responsible if they have a learning difficulty or disability which calls for special educational provision to be made for them. The SENCO often has meetings with the teachers to create a specific care plan and is also in contact with any outside agencies helping the child as well as ensuring the parents are always fully informed about the changes in their child’s education.
