      It is so easy to be confused over the differences of bipolar and unipolar disorders. Both of these are so similar. They both share the symptoms of sadness, anxiety, sleep problems, hopelessness and pessimism.   Bipolar disorder is by far the worst of the two. With unipolar there is just a constant low, whereas bipolar there is high, low, high and so forth. When first trying to diagnosis these disorders it is very important to figure out which is which. If this is not diagnosed properly then the treatments cannot help.   Both of these disorders are considered genetic disorders. People who are going through a rough patch and may be unhappy are just that. Depressed people are not moved by any real happy moments and remain emotionally unresponsive. Unipolar disorder is sometimes referred as Clinical depression. People who suffer with this experience disruption in their jobs, social and family life. The ones who suffer with this disorder no longer enjoy the things they use to and become withdrawn and overwhelmed. If severe Unipolar Disorder goes untreated this can result in suicide, lost relationships and the loss of ones job. Most people suffering with this disorder end up missing a lot of work and they miss out on family events because they have no desire to participate in anything.   Some of the other symptoms to unipolar disorder is also the inability to concentrate or make any major decisions, talk of suicide, or the possibility of actually trying to commit suicide.   The diagnosis of this disorder can sometimes be simple to diagnose, the doctors will perform mental and physical evaluations to make sure they have the right ruling and treatments plan in mind. Treatment for Unipolar disorder can include medication, family counselling or in some severe cases hospitalization.
