Defining the Humanities
Humanities is a broad topic that consist of literature, philosophy, history, architecture, arts, music, and dance. Humanities encompass human behavior, modern languages, arts, law, history, and countless alternative topics. This paper will discuss humanities from diverse mechanisms of human inquiry and expression. The definition of humanities is discussed along with a cultural event experienced, such as music, dance, theater, art, literature, or other activities. The event in which I select expresses known factors about the humanities like art, style, and cultures of the period in which I choose. Finally, I will discuss how I selected how the cultural expression compares with other event known to have transpired within the same time period.
Humanities are composed of human conditions and events that allow us to remain human. The world around us contribute to the aspect of the human existence in forms of art, literature, and history. In different instances human inquiry deal with non-human objectives such as science and mathematics. Mathematics is logical and science is objective; scientific study is not considered a part of humanities. Many of these ideas are based upon one’s own perspective.  
The humanities are a voluminous development that unveils how individual through time have conveyed, handle, and appreciated the details surrounding human existence.   It also touches on the values or situations humans may face. The humanities focal point is also on the diversified improvements to human life from both, individually and collectively.   It perceives the amelioration of the abounding art patterns that exist now.   When thinking of humanities today a person thinks of areas of improvement in other cases such as sciences, math, psychology, and other undertakings that is part of the human perception (Fiero, 2011).
