Club IT, Part One
    Club IT was created from the dreams of two ambitious individuals who gained knowledge and interest in owning their own club after being musicians in one.   After graduating with degrees in Business Administration and gaining knowledge from working in a nightclub, Ruben Keys and Lisa Tejada decided to make their dream a reality.   Their mission and clientele will provide a direction as to what Ruben and Lisa want to accomplish and who will be using their products and services.   Identifying the type of information resources needed and how it should be managed will create revenue, save money, and provide our valued customers with quality service.
    Club IT’s mission as stated by Ruben and Lisa says, “We, Ruben and Lisa, offer you live music, DJ’s, dance space and refreshments that suit your lifestyle.   You are our friends, and we seek to build a community that meets regularly at Club IT” (Club IT, 2010).   Club IT offers a variety of music such as hip-hop, techno, electronic, Top 40s, live bands and a live DJ which would attract college students who are looking for a place to unwind and “boogie down.”   Because of their high energy lighting that brings fun and energy, Club IT’s clientele would also consist of business people who are in their 20s, those in their 40s, and maybe even 50s.   The atmosphere is not only made for students of business individuals but especially for friends, and those who seek to build a community like their mission states.
    Club IT’s information resources has been managed primarily by Ruben and Lisa and there are many areas where development is needed.   The role of an IT department is to help a manager in “key decision making to meet your business strategy” (Industrial and Financial System, 2010).   We will focus on the hardware, software, data, network, and training to We will overhaul our IS in the front and back of the house so...
